My experience working with Century 21 Casa Nova in Antigua have been nothing but positive. I have bought several properties through this firm. I found Casa Nova online when thinking about buying a house in Antigua. It was obvious from looking that this firm had the most and the best listings in the area. When I came to Antigua and began looking at properties with Casa Nova, it was Brian Wilson, the founder, that understood what I wanted and led me to the house I eventually purchased. I had asked for a house with lots of garden space, within the town limits, and not too expensive or previously remodeled. Brian knew just the house for me. He later informed me of an adjoining lot for sale and helped me purchase that one as well, thus allowing room for a garden and orchard. Luckily he also represented the seller on that lot so was the first to know the lot was for sale. This kind of broad knowledge of the real estate and owners in Antigua are one thing that makes Brian Wilson and Casa Nova the best real estate company in Antigua. Casa Nova was the first real estate company catering equally to Americans as well as Guatemalans, having been started over eighteen years ago by Brian. Casa Nova/Century 21 also is active in the management of houses in Antigua. Besides serving as a rental firm for numerous houses and their owners, Casa Nova also serves as a local manager and contact for many of these houses, paying monthly bills, supervising construction, and keeping a watchful eye over these properties for a very reasonable monthly fee. Americans for sure will find working with this firm a refreshing change from agents in the United States. Searches and sales are conducted on a much more personal level (you actually meet the buyer/seller during a close, for example) and can continue an extended time until the right property is located. Brian and his team also steer buyers and sellers to good legal counsel and help them though the entire process, a process that is quite different from the United States experience from a legal, financial, and cultural perspective.
Upon recently re-locating to Antigua Guatemala, we utilized the real estate services of Century 21 Casa Nova. We needed to go no further. In the course of our real estate transaction we worked with several staff members, all of whom were outstanding individuals and knowledgeable real estate brokers. They successfully helped us attain our desired home, but went well beyond that, providing personal assistance by helping us obtain necessary licenses, registrations etc. required of foreigners taking up residence in a foreign country. We have had no complaints. On the contrary, we strongly recommend them to anyone seeking a full service real estate office that takes a personal interest in their clients.

Casa Nova Century 21 is hands-down the best real estate agency in Antigua Guatemala. Consistent professional service and the largest number of listings makes me keep going back to them. They are truly interested in their clients, with helpful seminars and information on their web site pertaining to residency and local laws, and insights into making your first property rental or purchase agreement.
We have worked with Casa Nova both in the purchase and sale of real estate in Antigua. We have found Brian and his team to be extremely knowledgeable with the real estate market and have been very pleased with their assistance in our recent real estate sale. Brian helped coordinate the details of the closing which allowed for a smooth transaction. I would recommend Casa Nova to anyone interested in purchasing or selling in the Antigua area.

We have purchased approximately 11 properties together with my wife and this has been without a doubt the most pleasurable and stress free of them all. Thanks again for everything.

We want to share our experience about our decision to move to Antigua Guatemala. The process started when we went on vacation to Guatemala about a year ago, my wife didn’t know this country (she is from Colombia) and we were thinking about moving to her country, but after two weeks in Antigua she fell in love with it’s culture and people. Due to that, our decision changed and we started the process of looking for a house in Antigua with the help of Rolando Leon of Century 21. All the process was smooth due to Century 21’s experience regarding all aspects of real estate in Antigua. Our experience has enriched us, through this process we learned a lot about the country and it’s legal aspects in the process of buying a property in Guatemala.

Dear Brian I was at dinner last night with some dear old business friends who are thinking about retiring to Antigua and when they asked whom I would recommend to handle their home purchase and possible other real estate investments, I recommended, without hesitation, your firm, but especially you. And as you know, we have referred many others over the years and have done so because of the professional and honest service you have always provided. And so it occurred to me that I am long overdue in thanking you and all the staff at Casa Nova for the outstanding service, advice and support we have received over the past seven years. It has been outstanding to the point where we have become friends and not just in a “customer-client” relationship. As I think back over the help you have provided both during “good times” and more recently in the very difficult You can count on our continued business in the future. I know that letters like this are probably unusual but it is in my nature to say “thanks” where thanks is due. Our trust and confidence in you is based on practical experience, whether we were buying or selling real-estate, and in the successful outcomes you helped us achieve. Your personal research and service both before and after the sale has been outstanding, accurate and patient. You have helped us acquire various investment properties in a most professional manner and resolved all title, legal and money transfer issues as can sometimes be problems for U.S. citizens dealing with such matters in another country. Particularly helpful has been your no-nonsense knowledge of what it takes to do successful deals in Antigua and environs and to take those “extra steps” to keep clients like us happy and secure. Most important, of course, all of our investments though you have worked out very well. So again, thanks and good luck to you and your associates in this challenging world market. We will be back in a few weeks and look forward to dinner and discussion of some new investment ideas we would like to discuss.
