The Church of San Cristobal el Bajo was built in the XVII century and rebuilt in two occasions (alter the earthquakes of 1717 and 1976).
Its façade is an altarpiece and it’s conformed of two bodies with a finishing detail that crowns the façade.
Each body has niches with Saints. The octagonal shape window in the second body has an image of San Cristobal, Patron Saint of the place.
The temple has one single nave and its roof is made of wood and tiles. The sanctuary is covered with a dome. Between the images of saints that the church has, el Nazareno de la Humildad, made in the XVII century, stands out. Traditionally goes out on a procession in the streets of Antigua during Easter.
