• * Keep your original passport in your hotel´s safe.  Always take with you a photocopy of your passport showing your photo and entry date to the country.

 

• * Never lose sight of your luggage or personal belongings.

 

• * Keep important documents, flight ticket, money and traveler checks in a safe place.  Write down the check numbers in case you lose them.

 

• * Never exchange currency in other places rather than banks or you hotel

 

• * Don´t  use valuable jewelry and only take with you the necessary amount of money that you need.  All major credit and/or debit cards are accepted anywhere.

 

• * Use taxi drivers that are identified with phone numbers and ID.

 

• * Get familiar with the national regulations when renting a vehicle.  Always have a map, driver license and vehicle rental contract.

 

• * Respect the minimum and maximum speed limits while driving.

 

• * Don´t drink and drive.  Use your seatbelt at all times.

 

• * Park your car in private parking lots.

 

• * Don´t leave valuable objects inside the vehicle.

 

• * Never bribe a traffic officer.

 

• * In case of car accident, call your car rental agency or insurance company.
